1.2 Financial & Application Information

To help connect you with appropriate financial products and services, we may collect

1.3 Credit Information

With your express consent and in compliance with applicable law (including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”)), we may obtain:

1.4 Technical & Usage Data

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect:

  • Cookies and tracking technologies identifiers

  • Session activity and interactions with the Platform

2. How We Use Your Information

BorrowBetter uses the information we collect for purposes including:

  • Matching you with relevant lenders and lending partners
  • Transmitting your lead and application data to lending partners through secure interfaces
  • Allowing partners to evaluate eligibility for financial products and services
  • Obtaining credit insights with your consent
  • Personalizing your experience and improving the Platform
  • Communicating with you about offers, updates, and partner products
  • Operating, maintaining, and securing the Platform
  • Complying with legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, BorrowBetter may sell, share, or transfer your information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

3.1 Lending Partners & Financial Institutions

We share your personal, financial, and (when authorized) credit information with:

  • Personal loan lenders
  • Affiliate networks
  • Other financial service providers and lending partners

These partners may use your information to contact you, evaluate your eligibility, process your inquiries or applications, and offer financial products and services that may be of interest to you.

3.2 Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Analytics and measurement providers
  • Data verification and fraud prevention services
  • Email, SMS, and other communication platforms
  • Cloud hosting, infrastructure, and security vendors

These service providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us and are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.

Mobile Text Messaging Data and Phone Numbers

We may share your phone number and related contact information with selected lending partners and other partners as reasonably necessary to allow them to respond to your inquiry, evaluate your eligibility, offer you products or services, or otherwise contact you about your request or use of the Platform (including by phone call or text message where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent).


Notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy, BorrowBetter does not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent with third parties for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes that are unrelated to your interaction with BorrowBetter or your requests made through the Platform. We may share your mobile number and related messaging data with service providers that help us deliver SMS messages (for example, messaging platform providers), but they may use this information only to perform services for BorrowBetter and not for their own independent purposes.


BorrowBetter does not control how third-party partners use your information once it is in their possession. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

4. Your Consent to Communication (TCPA Compliance)


By submitting your information through the Platform, you provide express written consent to receive communications from BorrowBetter and certain of our partners (such as lending partners you choose to engage with or request information from) via:

  • Email
  • SMS text messages
  • Telephone calls (including calls made using an automatic telephone dialing system and/or prerecorded or artificial voice)
  • Push notifications


These communications may relate to your loan inquiry or application, your use of the Platform, account or profile updates, reminders and notifications, and offers or information related to financial products and services available through BorrowBetter or our partners.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

You may opt out of BorrowBetter SMS text messages at any time by replying STOP to any BorrowBetter message or by contacting us at support@borrowbetter.com. You may also reply HELP for help. You can opt out of BorrowBetter email communications by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at support@borrowbetter.com.


Please note that if you provide your information to, or otherwise engage with, one of our partners (for example, by clicking through to a partner’s website, submitting an application directly with a lender, or authorizing us to share your information with a specific lender), that partner’s use of your information, including your phone number, will be governed by its own privacy policy and communication practices. Opt-outs regarding communications from partners must be exercised directly with each partner.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies


We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to:

  • Recognize you and your device
  • Improve and personalize your experience on the Platform
  • Track usage, performance, and conversions
  • Provide analytics and reporting
  • Deliver and measure advertising and marketing campaigns

You can control certain cookies through your browser settings or other tools. If you disable or reject cookies, some features of the Platform may not function properly.

The Platform may link to or redirect you to third-party websites, including lender and partner websites.

We are not responsible for the:

If you choose to interact with third-party sites, any information you provide will be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last revised” date at the top of this page.

Changes become effective upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

12. Mobile Text Messaging (SMS) Terms


Program Name

BorrowBetter SMS Program (“SMS Program”).


Program Description

By opting in to the BorrowBetter SMS Program, you agree to receive text messages from BorrowBetter related to:

  • Two Factor Authentication ("2FA") messages
  • Your loan inquiry or application submitted through the Platform
  • Account or profile updates
  • Reminders and notifications
  • Promotional offers and marketing messages related to BorrowBetter’s services and, where applicable, financial products and services offered through or in connection with BorrowBetter’s lending partners

Consent & Enrollment

By providing your mobile number and opting in (for example, by checking a box on a form, clicking an opt-in button, or responding to an opt-in message), you consent to receive SMS text messages from BorrowBetter at the mobile number you provided. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using the Platform or obtaining any product or service.

Message Frequency & Fees

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with BorrowBetter and our Platform, your loan inquiry or application status, and applicable campaigns or notifications.

Message and data rates may apply. If you have questions about your text or data plan, please contact your mobile carrier.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the short code or number from which you are receiving BorrowBetter messages. After you send “STOP,” we may send you a one-time confirmation message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us at that number via that short code or number. If you want to rejoin in the future, you can opt in again and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.

Carrier Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is outside of BorrowBetter’s control.

Privacy

We use information collected in connection with the SMS Program in accordance with this Privacy Policy. As described above, BorrowBetter does not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent with third parties for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.
